This is my ode to a guilty pleasure that I haven't been able to kick. There is now a Broadway musical based on Xanadu! This video started out as an entry to a contest their website had in which you were to show how "you Xanadu." I think I missed the deadline, but here it is finished for all of you to enjoy. I'm really happy other people are liking this! Saw the stage show here in Cleveland and it was great! I got chills during some of the great moments it re-created lovingly, but also liked how they restructured it for the stage - having Danny as the guy who owns the Xanadu building made sense. And making Sonny a himbo was a great idea...more Venice-like for sure! I had to watch the original again just to re-live it in comparison! Strange how a lot of the story is parallel to my own life. I was a struggling artist in a corporate job, hating it and his uncreative asshole boss. meets an older gentleman Donald King who happened to start "The Outsiders" in Cleveland during the 1960's garage band boom and we are on our way to making a documentary on the history of Cleveland rock and roll!
